Ray
Bartha
A Leechburg High School graduate, Bartha has coached girls basketball teams at Apollo-Ridge with great success.
During his tenure with the Lady Vikings, he has led his teams to 21 WPIAL playoff appearances, including a WPIAL title in 1991.
It was only recently that Bartha collected his 500th career victory as a head coach.



Rich
Carlberg
Rich Carlberg starred in basketball, football and track at Oakmont High School.
His 52 points in one game is among the greatest perfomrances of all time in local sports.
Carlberg was part of a great era with Duquesne University's basketball team that made an NIT appearance in 1968.

Arnie
Ferrando
A 1976 graduate of Kiski Area, Ferrando excelled in gymastics.
He took his talents to West Point with the United States Military Academy.
Ferrando was ranked nationally in both high school and collegiate gymnastics.
He also excelled as a competitor in weightlifting.



Cammie Biss
Fleming
A 1989 graduate of Kiski Area, Cammie Biss Fleming was part of the school's first four years of the girls track program with the Cavaliers.
She finished in the top six in the PIAA 100, 200 & 400 relay events.
Fleming attended the University of Maryland on a track scholarship and now resides in Texas.

Joe
Guyaux
Guyaux was a star basketball player on Tarentum's WPIAL championship team of 1968, the last year of the school's existence.
He was the team's all-time leading scorer with 1,108 points.
Guyaux also played for the school's tennis teams, singles and doubles, and was part of Tarentum's great era in which they had won 30 consecutive matches.



Garry
Lyle
Garry Lyle quarterbacked Verona High School to a WPIAL championship in 1962.  Playing for George Washington, Lyle helped break down racial barriers in the old Southern Conference.
He also enjoyed an 8-year career with the NFL Chicago Bears where he starred as a defensive back.  Lyle averaged 17.5-yards per interception return.

Bengy
Pryor
Pryor enjoyed a stellar career at Valley High School and was considered a 'blue chip' player by college recruiters.  He played both football and basketball with the Vikings and tallied 1,000 points and 1,000 rebounds.  Pryor was a Parade Magazine All-American and an All-State athlete.  At Pitt, Pryor played tight end and was part of four consecutive bowl teams.



John
Telford
John Telford is a graduate of Ken High where he was an All-Star pitcher.  
Arm problems sapped his fast ball and he was off to umpiring school in Florida.
Telford, one of the most-respected umpires around, called games for 35 years in the collegiate ranks, high school, American Legion baseball. and the Minor Leagues.
